Mckinley was an army officer in the war @between the states. after the war he decided to become a @lawyer. he studied law in Albany N.Y.. Mckinley began @practacing law in canton ohio in 1867. Mckinley was elected @to the U.S. house of rep. in 1876. in 1891 Mckinley was @elected govenor of Ohio. he was reelcted to that position @in 1893. in 1896 he ran for president. he spent most of his @.DEL at home during the ma @time at home during the campaign. At times he would give @speeches to people from his front porch. So his campaign @became known as the front porch campaign. it proved @sucsessful, and McKinley won the election.  @ RUTHERFORD B. HAYES @ @ Born in delaware,Ohio in 1822,Hayes spent most of his @childhood in what is know Freemont ohio. After graduating @from kenyon college in gambier ohio, hayes studied law in @freemont ohio, an then in Cinn. when the war between the @states started, Hayes volentereed for duty. He later @became a magor. by the end of the war, he was elected to @the U.S. congress while he was still in the army. he later @served 3 terms of govenor of ohio. In 1877 Hayes became the @19th president of the U.S.. His presidency was known for @his honesty and fairness. He promised to withdraw U.S. @troops from the south. Hayes did so in 1877, and the south @was left to take care of its own affairs.  @ WILLIAM HOWARD TAFT @ @ Taft was born in Cinn Ohio,in 1857. He graduated from @Woodward highschool in Cinn.,and from YALE univ. he studied @law at the Cinn school of law and became a lawyer in 1880. @Soon afterward he became a judge for the Cinn. superior @court. In march of 1892, president Harrison made Taft a @federal judge. Taft served in other in the U.S. goverment. @One office he held was that of the secretary of war in @Theadore Rooseavelts cabinent, Taft recieved national @national praise because of his work as govenor of Phil- @epeenes , and he worked to improve the way of life of the @people living there. Taft became president of the U.S. in @1909  @ BENJAMIN HARRISON @ @ THE 9th President of the U.S. was Benjamin Harrison. @He was born in the north bend of Ohio, in 1833. He graduat- @ed from Univ of Miami in Oxford Ohio in 1852. If the family lived near a @lake or river the children were sent to catch fish fo food @.Gardens were for vegies. to can for food in winter.  @ HISTORY OF AUSTINTOWN @ @ Austintown lying directley west of youngstown and @through witch the main roads west to milton resevoir and to @portage county pases, was first settled in 1800 when John @McCollum removed his family there from N.J. and took up his @residence in a cabin he had erected on a present visit in @1798 . Originally Austintown and the other adjoining town- @ships of jackson had been owned by Oliver Phelps and gideon @Granger oringinal members of the Conneticutt land co. the @former being the heaviest shareholder in the co. previous @to this, however, parts of austintown and Jackson townships @were included in the general parsons purchas of the Salt @Springtract in 1786, and this land was not included in the @draft of January, 1798  @ PROFESSIONAL SPORT @ @ The first professional baseball team was the Cinn Reds @Stockings. The total amount of money the first players of @the Red Stockings recieved $9,300. Today the amount of the @money recieved is a hec of a lot more than they did in 1863 @to 1870 the Red stockings played 130 games without a loss @.Ohio has know 2-major baseball leages . Football is also @another professional sport , football in colleges started @around 1890 a few years later highscool football started @.Since the 1920s football has been a well spected sport.  @ RECREATION IN OHIO @ @ Parks are places set aside for recreation or wildlife @there are many things to do and see in a park. There are @many different kinds of parks , an amusement parks, @public parks,state parks,national parks-such as yellow- @stone national park, or an Ohio amusement park such as @Kings Island, Cedar Point, Geaga Lake. Ohio recreation is @very good it is a clean state and very buetiful. Ohio has @different kinds of recreation such as carnivals,festivals @circuses,playgrounds,amusement parks,race tracks,state- @parks,fairs,lakes,rivers,great lakes,historical sites etc..  @ WHAT INTRESTS ME @ @ THE thing that intrests me most in ohio is Cedar Point @it has alot of rides like DEMON DROP, GEMINI , CORKSCREW @ and alot of ride that spin and twirl and go up & down @ you can also go fishing , rent boats, get a hotel room @ have picnics, swim , or go to Put-IN-Bay and rent mopeds @and just blow money, and just have a good time. I also @ like Geaga Lake it has a lot of things to do also such as @ride rides , swim , go on water slides, in a wave pool @ you can rent rentel motor boats , row boats, peddle boats @ and also blow all your money, you can even take a ferry @ride. Please be @further advised that Mr. Jordan wants to add a clause that @should Burger King National eliminate all video games from @their stores, that JORTOM would take possesion of the games @sooner than the 15 month period.
