New Hotfix Naming Convention
----------------------------

As of April 4, 1997 the hotfix naming convention has changed for all new
hotfixes, old hotfixes will not be renamed. The table below breaks down
the new naming convention with hotfix SE165033.EXE used as an example:

S	Digit 1 specifies whether the hotfix is applicable to the server or
        client. This digit can be one of four values:

	S = Server hotfix,
	D = DOS client hotfix,
	W = Windows 16-bit client hotfix,
	N = Windows 32-bit client hotfix.

E	Digit 2 reflects the applicable language, in this case English.
        Other values include:

	F = French
	G = German
	S = Spanish
	X = All languages.

16	Digits 3 and 4 reflect the version of the software for which this
        hotfix is applicable, Version 1.6 in this case.

5	Digit 5 indicates which service pack should be installed before the
        hotfix is installed (Service Pack 5 in this case). If this digit is "0,"
        it indicates that the hotfix can be installed without first installing
	a service pack.

033	Digits 6 - 8: This value is sequential and indicates the hotfix
        number. This example shows it is the thirty third hotfix since the
        last service pack was released.
