Montreal notes:

The better defined this sequence is, the more easily
coded it will be.  The Cambridge team will provide more detailed (Lisp)
code outlining the steps described below.

1.2 --

Need to support a Klod filetype for load bands.

There should be a table in K memory of supported filetypes and their
associated properties, which in turn will be passed back as an
argument in calls to OPEN, etc.

It will be acceptable for the Mac to make (default) assumptions about
filetypes; however, the K will always have override power for all
translations decisions).

(Need?) ability to choose load bands with control panel, double clicks,
and K functions.


Existing text:

The discussion below of booting the K-Machine from the Macintosh application
needs further research and refinement.
The K/Mac boot process, and the user's interface,
differs from the ``brute force'' approach used to boot the K from the Lambda.
